A permanent, stable replacement for missing teeth that looks, feels, and functions just like the real thing.
A dental implant is a small titanium post that is placed into the jawbone to act as an artificial root. Once integrated with the bone, a custom-made crown is attached on top, creating a replacement tooth that is indistinguishable from the ones around it.
Unlike bridges and dentures, implants don’t rely on neighbouring teeth for support and won’t move or come loose. They also help to maintain the bone in your jaw, which naturally begins to shrink when a tooth is lost.

Most adults in good general health are suitable candidates for implants. The most important factors are the health of your gums and the amount of bone available in your jaw. Your dentist will carry out a full assessment at your consultation and discuss whether implants are the right option for you.
Treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic and is typically more comfortable than patients expect. The process from consultation to fitted crown usually takes between three and six months, as time is needed for the implant to integrate fully with the bone before the crown is attached.
We’re based at VMC House, Northfield Road, Southam, CV47 0FG — next to St Wulfstan Surgery, with free parking right outside and full ground-floor access. New patients are always welcome. Get in touch to find out more or to book your first appointment.
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel pain during placement. Most patients report that the discomfort afterwards is less than they expected and manageable with over-the-counter pain relief.
Studies show that over 93% of implants are still functioning well after ten years. With proper oral hygiene and regular check-ups, they can last many decades. Implants themselves cannot decay, but the gum and bone around them still need looking after.
A complete implant unit (implant and crown) is £2,620. An implant consultation is £95. Please contact us if you have any questions about the cost or financing options.
