Modern dentures, made to fit

Dentures have come a long way. Today’s custom-made dentures are designed to fit comfortably and look natural, giving you back the function and appearance that missing teeth can take away.

At Everwell Dental, we offer both full and partial dentures, made from high-quality materials and carefully crafted to suit the shape of your mouth and the appearance of your remaining teeth.

Types of denture available

  1. Acrylic Dentures –  A lightweight, removable option made from hard-wearing acrylic resin. A good solution for patients who have lost most or all of their teeth in one arch, or for whom a partial denture is needed as a shorter-term measure.
  2. Cobalt Chrome Dentures –  A more robust option with a thin metal framework that makes the denture stronger and more comfortable for long-term wear. Cobalt chrome dentures tend to be smaller and less bulky than full acrylic alternatives.

Getting your dentures

The process involves several appointments over a few weeks. We take careful impressions, assess your bite, and make any adjustments needed to ensure a good fit before delivering your final dentures. We’ll also give you guidance on how to care for them and what to expect during the settling-in period.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does it take to get used to dentures?

Most patients adapt within a few weeks. Initially you may notice increased saliva, some minor speech changes, or mild discomfort at pressure points. We’ll see you for any necessary adjustments to make the settling-in period as comfortable as possible.

Can I sleep with my dentures in?

We generally recommend removing dentures overnight to give your gum tissue a rest and to maintain good oral hygiene. Your dentist will give you personalised guidance at your fitting appointment.

Will dentures affect what I can eat?

Initially, a soft diet is advisable while you adjust. Over time, most patients find they can return to eating most foods normally, though very hard or sticky foods may still cause difficulties.
