Northampton Private Dentist

A proper introduction

Your new patient exam is much more than a quick look around your mouth. It’s a thorough, unhurried assessment that gives us a complete picture of your oral health, and gives you a chance to get to know our team and feel comfortable in our care.

We’ll take time to review your dental and medical history, carry out a comprehensive clinical examination including a gum assessment and oral cancer screening, and take any x-rays needed to see what’s happening beneath the surface.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens at a new patient appointment at Everwell Dental?

A new patient appointment at Everwell Dental in Southam begins with a conversation about your medical history, any past dental experiences, and your concerns or goals. The clinical examination then covers gum health, teeth, bite, oral cancer screening, and X-rays where needed. You will leave with a clear picture of your dental health and any recommended next steps.

I am nervous about going to the dentist — is that okay?

Absolutely. Dr Jo Fraser welcomes nervous patients and takes time to listen before any clinical work begins. There is no judgement and no rush. If you let the team know beforehand that you are anxious, they can prepare to make your visit as comfortable as possible from the moment you arrive.

I have not seen a dentist in a long time. Will I be in trouble?

No. Dr Fraser’s attitude towards patients who have had a long gap is simple: she is glad you are there. A first appointment is about understanding where things are now, not about what happened in the past. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Is Everwell Dental easy to get to in Southam?

Yes. Everwell Dental is located in Southam next to St Wulfstan’s surgery, not far from Tesco. The practice is on one level with parking directly outside. Southam has minimal traffic, so there are no complicated junctions or rush-hour delays to contend with.
